Macbeth
The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry were going through a rebrand and were featuring much grittier, stripped down artistic performances as part of a new season. One of these performances was an adaption of Macbeth. Much like Frankenstein, this was a minimal set-piece, with stark and emotional on-stage performances from the cast that could work just as well in a contemporary environment in film. I wanted to look at the stripped back personality of the titular character in his rawest form, so felt a photographic approach was the way forward, contrasted by a blood-red overlay incorporating simple typography. Again, this was a direct correlation to the stripped-back nature of the production and its raw emotion.
